Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton have posted a photo from the set of the new Terminator reboot.

Schwarzenegger shared a picture of the pair on Instagram from the shoot in celebration of Hamilton’s birthday, alongside a throwback image taken during production of 1991 sequel Terminator 2: Judgement Day. You can view the image below.

“Happy birthday to my dear friend Linda Hamilton. One of my favourite co-stars, a true badass, and a wonderful human being. I’m pumped to be back together again,” he wrote.

The rebooted franchise sees Hamilton return as Sarah Connor who will team up with Mackenzie Davis and Natalia Reyes. It will be helmed by Deadpool director Tim Miller.

Hamilton last appeared in Judgement Day, the sequel to James Cameron’s original 1984 classic. Her appearance heralds a new beginning for the franchise, which has seen several reboots in the form of Terminator: Salvation in 2009 and Terminator: Genisys (2015). The latter saw Schwarzenegger star opposite Emilia Clarke, who took up the role of Connor.

The new film also marks the return of Cameron to the franchise, but he will serve as a producer rather than director.

Last month, Hamilton was pictured with Reyes and Davis on set. Reyes is reported to be the lead in the reboot, playing Dani Ramos – a young woman in Mexico City. Davis’ role is currently unconfirmed.

The movie is currently in production and will be released in cinemas on November 22, 2019. Cameron has previously confirmed it is intended as a direct sequel to Judgement Day.

The film was originally planned to be released in July 2019 but had to be pushed back after Schwarzenegger underwent heart surgery.
