Hopped up on the vibes from her Dive Bar Tour, Lady Gaga in June announced another pitstop at an undisclosed venue before embarking on her world tour. Sadly, for those anxiously reloading her Twitter feed, Thursday’s Las Vegas gig has been postponed.
Sponsor Bud Light’s statement to Billboard reads, “Unfortunately Lady Gaga needs to postpone the first stop of the 2017 Bud Light Dive Bar Tour this week in Las Vegas. She’s deep in rehearsals for her world tour and is working to reschedule a new date as soon as possible. She can’t wait to see all of you soon. We fully support our friend Lady Gaga in this process, and will work with her and her team to reschedule the show at a better time. We’ll be sure to follow up as soon as we have the new date and look forward to seeing you on the road soon.”
In just over two weeks, Gaga will kick off the Joanne world tour in Vancouver on Aug. 1. The pop diva will be making her way through the U.S. before the trek concludes on Dec. 14 in Salt Lake City. Gaga is scheduled to perform at Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on Aug. 11, so it’s plausible that, even if Mother Monster can’t make the Dive Bar stop happen before hitting the road, she could make it up in between concerts.
The “Million Reasons” singer was initially scheduled to perform on Thursday before passing the torch to two new artists for concerts in Los Angeles on July 26 and New Orleans on Aug. 30. Those dates appear to still be on.
“What I will tell you about these future artists that are playing is that it’s a very diverse group,” Gaga told Billboard. “Everything that you’re seeing at these dive bars are not going to be the same: It’s not the same types of artists, it’s not connected in any way. It’s all about celebrating diversity.”
