While many '90s kids don't want to admit it, the decade of acid-washed denim and grunge was 20 years (or more ago). And Rod Thomas, better known as Bright Light Bright Light, takes back to those times by refreshing Lisa Loeb's "Stay (I Missed You)." Originally the lead single off the 1994 movie, Reality Bites, the new version replaces the acoustic guitar chords with synth keyboards. And while it still has the emotion that Lisa always intended it to have, there's something light and airy about it on Thomas' version.

"Every geek’s love anthem growing up, this song transports me immediately back to the week of buying it and listening to it over and over," Thomas tells Myspace. "I also never clocked how crushing the final lyrics are 'You try to give away a keeper, or keep me cos you know you’re just so scared to lose.'"

He adds, "It’s an INCREDIBLY written song that still makes people sing at the top of their lungs whenever I slip it into a DJ set. And probably always will".

"Stay (I Missed You)" is off Bright Light Bright Light's new EP, Cinematography 2, which will release on April 28.
