The Baltimore pop-punk band celebrate St. Patrick's Day with this one.
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! To make the day even better, Baltimore's Face Value have a new song that will get you ready for the holiday as well as the weekend. "Blarney Stone" has some Irish flavor but is pop punk all the way.
"'Blarney Stone' was definitely an experiment for us," Grayson Ross tells Myspace. "We just released a serious, mushy Valentine's Day song so we thought it would be fun to do something off the wall for St. Patrick's Day."
The singer and bassist added they really went for the carefree party vibe with this one — complete with burps and wet kisses. "We wrote the whole thing, recorded it and got artwork all within a month, which worried Alec, our lead singer, but that is something that really tickles our fancy!" Grayson says. "We wanted to have fun with this song; as you listen, you'll notice group chants, clanking of beer glasses, a burp, a wet kiss, and much more! The lyrics are clever yet ridiculous and the music is powerful yet playful. All in all, we hope people really enjoy this song because we had an awesome time bringing it to life!"
