Adele has been wowing New Yorkers, and bringing some of them to tears, during her six-gig stint at Madison Square Garden. However, she received an epic surprise at her final show last night (September 26) — her official 10x platinum plaque. What does this mean? In less than 10 months, 25 has reached diamond status. This means the album hit 10,000,000 in sales, which it reached last Thursday (September 22).

This isn't the first time Adele got this honor. 21 achieved the same status two years after it released.

While albums by other artists and bands have gotten diamond status, it's a rare feat to get it in such a short time period. Adele is clearly in a class of her own.
