The British singer explains her why she isn't going to release music anytime soon.

Aside from FKA Twigs' 2015 EP, M3LL155X and her new stage show, "Radiant Me," we haven't heard too much about a new album in the works. And while Twigs never stops letting her creativity flow, she doesn't seem to be in a hurry to release a new record.

"I mean, it’s like Damaris [Lewis] and I have said, in my own time," she told Dazed and Confused.  "I just like to let things grow. So me taking a few songs on the road — I don’t even know if I’ll release them, it’s just this way of me seeing which way it can grow. But it’s not part of any big masterplan."

The UK artist also wished that the music-making process could be like it was in the past: slow and steady opposed to the quick pace it is today.

"Back in the day you would take songs out on the road for two or three years and then release them, you know?" she said. "That’s how long it takes for the band to get perfect. It’s unusual nowadays because everything is so instant and everyone can see things straight away on the internet, but I’m sure there are plenty of songs that have been sung by amazing artists in a smoky room full of people, and only the people in the room have heard them. I guess I’m still trying to operate like that even though, you know, it goes viral."

Looks like we'll just have to be a little bit more patient for the next album, but we're sure it'll be worth the wait.
