And to think, it all started as a good "career move."
After Lady Gaga revealed who she's been working with for her forthcoming fifth album, there were a few acts we didn't expect including Tame Impala. Well, founder Kevin Parker explained his involvement in the project and admitted it did start as a strategic move.
"It started out as such a career move," he told Triple J in Australia. "'Oh yeah, I'll get in on that,' but it quickly became something so personal and meaningful for everyone involved. I'm just happy it's all out in the open now."
He also added, "When you actually meet the people behind the scenes, it's not just this big corporate world. It's actually full of people full of passion and drive."
During the interview Kevin was surprised to find out that Gaga called him a genius.
He responded, "Did she? No way! I'm gonna put that quote on our tour poster: 'A real musical genius' - Lady Gaga."
