The single promotes her upcoming sixth record 'Day Breaks.'

The bluesy singer-songwriter is back. On "Carry On," Norah Jones sings a soft, uplifting tune about leaving the past behind. The single foreshadows Day Breaks, her upcoming sixth record, which she says was influenced by her earlier work like her 2002 Grammy-winning multi-platinum breakthrough album Come Away With Me.

"This new album feels full circle because I'm going back to my early influences," said Jones in a statement. "After the first record, I drifted away from the piano a little bit. I still played it, but was more inspired to write on guitar. I really loved playing piano on this record."

The 12-song album, out October 7, will feature nine original songs as well as covers from Neil Young ("Don't Be Denied"), Duke Ellington and Horace Silver. Listen to "Carry On" below.
