The '1989' singer offers help to the kickoff spot of her last tour.
While it seems like ages ago at this point, Taylor Swift launched the American leg of her massive 1989 World Tour in Louisiana last year. So after hearing about the torrential rains and flooding that hit the state over the weekend, she couldn't help but lend a hand — in the tune of $1M.
"We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home," she told The Associated Press (via Billboard). "The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking."
With at least 11 people dead and more than 30,000 rescued since Friday (August 12), Taylor wants everyone to send good vibes to the people of Louisiana, especially during this time.
"I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time," she said.
