It's the pop diva's first single since her 2013 LP 'Prism.'

Katy Perry knows how to rise. She's a best-selling singer, a Super Bowl half-time show performer and, now, the singer of the NBC's official song of the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The soaring single combines her signature vocals with inspirational lyrics about rising to success. "When the fire's at my feet again," sings Perry. "And the vultures all start circling / They're whispering, "you're out of time." / But still, I rise."

"This is a song that’s been brewing inside me for years, that has finally come to the surface," said the singer in a statement. "I was inspired to finish it now, rather than save it for my next album, because now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite."
