The hardcore rapper has gone on to collaborate with Kanye West and Major Lazer.
Before gaining recognition as a rapper, Pusha T had another credit to his name: composer of McDonald’s ubiquitous “I’m Lovin’ It” marketing campaign.
The news was just revealed during an interview with Steve Stoute, the CEO of the marketing firm behind the song, on Hot 97.
After radio station host Ebro Darden noted that his firm was responsible for the Pharrell and Justin Timberlake-penned “I’m Loving It,” Stoute corrected him. "You know who did that? Pusha T. That's crazy that Pusha T wrote the song to McDonald's,” said the CEO according to Rolling Stone.
Justin Timberlake sang the jingle, which was initially premiered in 2003.
Pusha T, who gained recognition as half of hip hop duo Clipse, is best known for singles like “Trouble On My Mind” and collaborations with Kanye West on songs like “Mercy.” The rapper is expected to release his third album, King Push, later this year.
