The group will also release a feature film called 'One More Time With Feeling.'
Longtime Australian alt pop group Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds will release a new record, Skeleton Tree, on September 9.
As the album was inspired by the tragic death of Cave’s 15-year-old son, it will be even darker than the group’s usual melancholic efforts. Skeleton Tree was recorded in the UK and France between 2014 and 2015.
In conjunction with the new album, the band will release an Andrew Dominik-directed feature film directed called One More Time With Feeling, in theaters on September 8. The film, narrated by Cave, includes performances of the new album, interviews and other footage.
The group’s last release was Push the Sky Away in 2013.
