The Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman will certainly remember this taping for the rest of his life.
The most incredible part of Red Hot Chili Peppers' Anthony Kiedis’ appearance on James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke" this Tuesday happened behind the scenes. As they finished recording the segment for Corden’s Late Show, Kiedis found himself literally having to rescue a baby’s life.
Recounting the story to Radio X host Chris Moyles, Kiedis explained that a mother came out of her house yelling that her baby couldn’t breathe.
“We all ran across the street, the lady thrust her baby into my arms, the baby was not breathing, and I thought, I’m gonna try and do a little baby CPR real quick, see if I can get some air in this kid,” said Kiedis. “Tried to open the mouth, [it was] like locked shut. So I started rubbing the belly, bubbles came out of the mouth, the eyes rolled back into place, the ambulance showed up.”
When Kiedis isn’t rescuing lives, he’s promoting his group’s upcoming 11th studio record The Getaway (out tomorrow).
