Take a listen to the pop singer's latest single, re-imagined.
Bound for a bright future, LA-based pop singer Catey Shaw burst onto the scene with The Clouds EP in 2013, followed up with The Brooklyn EP and made big waves on the web. Last week, the singer-songwriter released The Ransom EP, a new 5-track project that spans topics like playing the victim in a relationship, walking all over someone, her love being for ransom and more.
Her storytelling skill carries over into "The Ransom" and caught the ear of a producer/DJ from the Netherlands named Tommy Walker.
“It's always great to hear other people's interpretation of my music," Shaw says. "it's so interesting to get that outside perspective. I especially love the way Tommy Walker screwed with the vocals—that's something we don't really explore as much, so it's cool to hear it another way.”
