The producer is back with a dark new track featuring SZA.
Featured in last year's "10 Producers You Should Know (Right Now)" list, AP Super Producer (stylized as APSPDR+) has been on our radar for a while now and is back with the first single from his forthcoming EP, The Color of Sound. Today, the Harlem-native exclusively premieres "Bed (Reenacted)" featuring vocals from SZA, and frequent collaborators Nemo Achida and MoRuf on Myspace.
"The record is a perfect interpretation and representation of my 'Dark Grey' sound," he explains, "giving you heavy drums, odd snares, light feels, and what I like to call evil bass.' I hope the people appreciate the vengeful and lusty soundscape."
A 10-song project, each track off The Color of Sound has a particular hue associated with it."Bed (Reenacted)" is caput mortuum, which is a dark red associated with vengeance, death and, in this case, love. Keep an eye peeled for the new EP, which we hear may be dropping this fall.
