Ciara's hopes for full custody of her son, Future Zahir Wilburn, have been crushed as the judge denied the petition.
While the R&B singer claimed that her ex, Future, was an unfit father due to to his alleged drinking habits, the judge fell in favor of the rapper and producer. Ciara and Future now have joint custody, TMZ reported.
While she's taken aback by the outcome of the case, she also filed a $15 million defamation lawsuit against Future. This occurred after he called her a "bitch" on Twitter. Future responded with a countersuit and claimed that there was no defamation because she wasn't really famous.
Despite the legal loss, Ciara will be co-hosting the Billboard Music Awards with Ludacris on Sunday (May 22).
