The anticipated Star Wars Anthology Series begins. The debut teaser for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story shows a gang of rebel spies plotting to steal the Death Star plans. But Return of the Jedi rebel leader Mon Montma doesn't trust captain Jyn Erso.

"On your own from the age of 15," Mon Montma says. "Reckless, aggressive and undisciplined."

Directed by Garreth Edwards, Rogue One takes place before 1977's Star Wars: A New Hope. Yet based on YouTube comments, star Forest Whitaker already reminds sci-fi fans of a later, though terrible film. "We're just so ridiculously evil that it's like a joke," Forest has said of Battlefield Earth.

Rogue One debuts December 16.
