But she isn't quitting, as some tabloids have reported.
Ellie Goulding will soon take a break from music, she says on Twitter. That isn't to say that she is quitting music, as The Sun breathlessly reported today, or that her split from McFly bassist Dougie Poynter is the main reason why.
I am not quitting music, I've come too far for that! Just having a break. It's been seven years since I had time off.... Love you all

In 2015, Ellie released her third studio album Delirium, which featured production by pop heavyweights Max Martin and Savan Kotecha, on Cherrytree/Interscope. She wraps her tour for that album in October, which, to be fair, allows fans plenty of time to catch her live before her break.
"I’ve toured seven years non-stop. If you do too much of something, it can turn into something you feel like you have to do and it’s not as enjoyable as it could be," she said to The Sun.
