The Green Day frontman serenaded the 'Conan' audience.
Billie Joe Armstrong stripped down "Ordinary World," the final track off of Green Day's 2016 LP Revolution Radio, on Conan last night. Appearing without his trademark makeup, it's a simple-yet-moving performance from the longtime frontman.
"The days into years roll by," sings Armstrong. "It's where that I live until I die / Ordinary world."
The song was written as the title track to the soundtrack for Ordinary World, which stars Armstrong as an aging punk rocker who has yet to hit it big.
