The electro pop trio film their latest video in one shot...in reverse.

People the Kangaroo get a real messy in their latest visual for "The Death of You." Playing paint, matches and stuffed monkeys on their backs, the electro pop trio go all the way in this visually stimulating clip, which they actually filmed in reverse.

"We make music videos developed around a simple concept," bassist Gervais Maillard tells Myspace. "After our 'globe-trotting hand' video, this idea is a choreography performed in reverse and filmed in one shot. We wanted to create a surprising and constantly unfolding visual experience, by using bright colored paints and powders, original props, and creative editing. The pacing of the song guided our writing, and performing it in reverse was a really fun challenge that allowed us to create compelling visuals."

Despite the fun energy in the visual, the song goes a bit deeper into the human condition. "'The Death of You' describes the feeling of a person who has been heart broken and cannot open themselves up again," singer Alan Wurman explains. "It's the representation of what has become a norm in our society. The song talks about the link between love and sex, and the death of love when it becomes inaccessible. "

While the lyrical content is on the heavier side, you can't help but start moving to the discotheque beats. Watch the video below, and be sure to look out for their upcoming album, Wiki Generation, set to release in February 2017.
