It's time we show a little TLC for the TLC.

Editor's Note: Our Tattoosday columnist Josh Chesler and Wrestling Wednesday columnist Erick Salomon decided to change places this week, because who doesn't like to switch it up a bit?

No matter how hardcore or casual of a wrestling fan you are, there are three letters that get you excited: TLC (and probably WWE, NXT, TNA, NWA, WCW, ECW and a whole host of other wrestling-based tri-character abbreviations). Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches combine many of wrestling's best aspects — aerial techniques from ridiculous heights, the encouraged use of weapons, the ever-dramatic progress of an impossibly slow climb up a metal object — without having to change the entire look and feel of a match by dropping a cage/cell/elimination chamber in or around the ring.

With the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match now old enough to get its driver's license and the WWE World Championship up for grabs in a TLC match once again next month, let's take a look back at the Top 8 high-flying table-splitting performances of all time.

Kane vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. Christian and Chris Jericho vs. Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam - RAW (2002)

Even if it's not super memorable 14 years later, watching Kane singlehandedly take on some of the finest TLC veterans WWE has to offer was a sight to behold in 2002. It was one of RAW's greatest moments back in the early 2000s, and it was proof that Kane could win and hold the Tag Team Championships no matter how terrible his partner was — particularly since the Hurricane didn't even show up to this one.
