"I am not meant for this business and the media."
Demi Lovato is ready for a break, and she'll be doing that starting next year.
So excited for 2017. Taking a break from music and the spotlight.. I am not meant for this business and the media 👋🏼

The announcement follows all the press she recently got after a new interview with Glamour, in which she candidly speaks about Taylor Swift's squad.
"...I think in certain situations, certain people could be doing more if they’re going to claim that as part of their brand,” she told the magazine. “To be honest, and this will probably get me in trouble, I don’t see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It’s kind of this false image of what people should look like. And what they should be like, and it’s not real."
Soon after the Q&A hit the web, everyone, especially Taylor Swift's fans, came out in defense of the 1989 artist. A rep for Taylor also made a statement to E! News saying, "Taylor has a tight group of women in her life that all have her and each others' back and sometimes people just want that. She thought it was unnecessary for her to make those comments. They both have never been really good friends."
Before announcing her break, Demi also addressed the hoopla regarding the controversy on Twitter.
I get asked questions. I answer them. Sue me.

Also don't forget that words can be taken out of context when doing interviews.. still not apologizing for saying what everyone want to say

I don't understand why people care so much about what I say in interviews? Do y'all watch the news? Don't y'all got shit to worry about?
