Celebrities have spoken out in support of Kim Kardashian West who was robbed at gunpoint in a Paris hotel room on Sunday by men dressed as police officers.

The reality TV star and mother of two was tied up and locked in her bathroom before the perpetrators took off with millions of dollars worth of jewellery. Her husband Kanye West stopped a concert short as soon as he heard about the incident.

But not everyone felt sorry for the reality star, with some Twitter users posting jokes about the incident after the news broke. Among others, James Corden came to Kardashian West’s defense, reminding everyone that she is a human being and deserved sympathy.


Chrissy Teigen, who is married to singer John Legend, wrote a series of posts defending Kardashian and calling out the callous ways celebrities are sometimes referred to online.


The Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, condemned the attack, saying Kardashian will always be welcome to the French capital.


Former co-host of the View, Sherri Shepherd, called Kardashian a wife, mother and sister.

American comedian Steve Harvey called the entire situation “crazy.”


British television host Piers Morden seemed shocked by Kardashian West’s terrifying experience. He later had to defend himself
from fans who had branded him as a hypocrite over a comment he made about her selfies last week.


Comedian Tom Green said he was “happy to hear everybody is safe.”


Spencer Pratt said he was “furious” Paris police did not give West a protection detail after she was attacked the week before by celebrity ‘prankster’ Vitalii Sediuk.
