The female superhero's debut film hits theaters in summer 2017.
"Wonder Woman is one of the greatest superheroes out there," says Geoff Johns, creative chief officer of DC Comics, to director Kevin Smith. "But people don't know her origin like they do Superman's origin or Batman's origin."
DC Comics is trying to change that. During the CW's "Dawn of the Justice League" special, Geoff gave a sneak peek into its 2017 Wonder Woman film. Gal Gadot plays the titular hero, who seeks to protect mankind as her fellow Amazon warriors were once trained to do, despite them having abandoned that mission long ago.
"The greatest thing about Wonder Woman is how good and kind and loving she is, yet none of that negates any of her power," says director Patty Jenkins.
Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine, Danny Hutson and Robin Wright. Watch the preview below.
