Lady Gaga's "Til It Happens to You" video delivers a powerful message. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke, it's a PSA on the troubling rape culture at college campuses nationwide. Four women get sexually assaulted, two of them by apparent friends and the others by a total stranger. It's a hard-hitting depiction of what happens to one in five female students today.

Lady Gaga and Diane Warren co-wrote "Til It Happens to You" for The Hunting Ground, the Sundance-featured documentary about the very same subject matter. "There are a lot of levels to the song," Diane tells Billboard. "There's something very vulnerable about it and something very defiant about it, especially the way [Gaga] sings it."
