Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney says that Jack White tried to fight him at a New York bar last night. "A 40 year old bully tried to fight the 35 year old nerd," Patrick says, adding, "Jack white is basically billy corgan's dumb ass zero t-shirt in human form."

Jack has since released a statement to media: “Nobody tried to fight you, Patrick. Nobody touched you or ‘bullied’ you. You were asked a question you couldn’t answer so you walked away. So quit whining to the Internet and speak face to face like a human being. End of story.”

For years Jack has taken issue with the Black Keys, starting with when critics compared the Black Keys to the White Stripes. ("I'm a lot more to do with Jay Z than the Black Keys," he told Rolling Stone in 2010.) Three years later, emails concerning his divorce with Karen Elson leaked, to reveal that he didn't want his child to go to the same school as Black Keys' Dan Auerbach's kid. In 2014, Jack accused the Black Keys of ripping off the White Stripes' sound, though he soon apologized.

When Rolling Stone profiled the Black Keys in 2012, Dan claimed that he never heard of the White Stripes. Obviously, the same cannot be said today. "[Jack] is why I play music," Patrick says. "The bully assholes who make me feel like nothing." See his tweets below.
