This is in hopes that guests can be "respectful" in light of past behavior.
When Madame Tussauds Las Vegas revealed its Nicki Minaj wax figure in August, no one had anticipated how guests would start behaving. The figure is of Nicki as she appears within the first 30 seconds of her "Anaconda" video—on all fours. Soon, a photo of a male guest humping the figure from behind popped up on social media.
"It is unfortunate that this visitor decided to behave so inappropriately and we apologise for any offence this has caused," an official statement from the museum said.
Now The FADER reports that the wax museum has installed a low wall behind Nicki's figure, to protect from being humped again.
"Nicki Minaj's wax figure at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas has not been removed, nor are there any plans to remove the figure," a statement says. "The figure is currently on display and remains a popular attraction. We have adjusted the set in a manner that we hope will encourage guests to be respectful, yet still enable them to take photos."
