On Sunday, TMZ asked NBA player Matt Barnes if he is dating Rihanna. The outlet sought to set the record straight, after "insiders" claimed that they went on two dates so far. Barnes called the rumors "speculation," though also said that their relationship "just passed the crush stage — just a little bit, though." He even posited that, should he move to Memphis (currently he plays for the Los Angeles Clippers), they could still see each other, because Rihanna is rich.
Apparently Rihanna doesn't agree. At all.
This led to Rihanna's fans, known as the Navy, posting corn emojis on Barnes' Instagram.
Rihanna is promoting her seventh fragrance RiRi, which is available online now. Meanwhile, #MattBarnesFuneral is trending on Twitter.
