Roman Reigns was attacked by a fan last week. Here's 5 more instances of fans being dipshits.

Wrestling is fake. This should come as a shock to no one. But just like everything else in life, one lone dipshit will somehow manage to ruin it for everyone else.

You see, watching wrestling live is like watching a play or a concert. They’re performing for you (the audience member) on a stage (in this case, a ring), and don’t like to be interrupted while they’re doing their job. Still, some dipshits seem to have a hard time separating fact (real life) from fiction (wrestling) and in turn get so emotionally charged with what’s happening in the ring that they decide they must get in on the action.

Of course, this is bad form. You wouldn’t go to a performance of Romeo & Juliet and jump on stage to keep the star-crossed lovers from killing themselves, would you? Of course you wouldn’t, because that is something a confused dipshit would do.

A confused dipshit like this fucking guy, who threw a replica Money in the Bank briefcase at Roman Reigns’ head last week during a match in Victoria, British Columbia.

That dumbass was ejected, arrested, and banned from attending another WWE event ever again. Congrats, super fan!

(As a side note, I’m less confused by the fact that he threw a replica Money in the Bank briefcase at Reigns, and more confused by the fact that he actually created a replica Money in the Bank briefcase. Was this guy an 11-year-old boy, for Christ’s sake?!?)

Anyway, here are five more examples of dipshits who didn’t get the memo that wrestling is fake, and then decided they wanted in on the action. Only to get the shit kicked out of them. Which is what they deserve.

Do Not Touch Sabu’s Turban!

ECW’s Sabu was making his way down to the ring for an event in Japan when a fan decided he wanted to reach out and touch his favorite wrestling star. It didn’t end well. The video isn’t clear, but it appears as if the fan’s hand got caught on Sabu’s turban, yanking it off in the process. Sabu reacts the way any normal, grown man would: He jumps over the barrier and proceeds to punch the guy in the head while everyone just stands around wondering what in the hell just happened.

CM Punk Wouldn’t Hit A Guy With Glasses... But He Totally Would!

In October 2012, CM Punk was filming a bit with Vince McMahon during a live taping of Raw. He left the ring and made his way through the audience carrying the Championship belt, which apparently everyone just loves to touch. Punk gets pushed around a few times by fans—some in support, some not—until it all gets to be a little too much for him. After getting slapped on the shoulder by someone on Punk’s right, he spins around and clocks an unsuspecting guy who appears to be putting his glasses on. I’m not sure if this was justified or not—maybe there’s something more going on here we can’t see, like the guy is grinding his wiener on Punk’s butt—but one thing is obvious: DON’T FUCKING TOUCH WRESTLERS!

Snap Into A Takedown!

It’s May 1999, and Randy Savage is fighting Kevin Nash on WCW Nitro. It’s all good fun—you know, Savage drawing on Nash’s face with red lipstick—when a super fan dipshit in the audience decides that he too wants Savage to paint on his face... WITH HIS FISTS! Savage, a consummate professional, barely bats an eyelash as he goes from kicking Nash’s ass to kicking this stranger’s ass. He tackles him to the mat and gives him a few punches to the head before security (who, out of confusion, Savage also starts to beat up) is able to pull the moron out of the ring. Snap into that, motherfucker!

This Dude Hates Ladders!

The late Eddie Guerrero was wrestling RVD (Rob! Van! Dam!) in a ladders match during a live taping of Raw when some Canadian knucklehead in an Edmonton Oilers jersey thought it would be a good idea to jump into the ring and push the ladder over just as Guerrero was nearing the top. The ladder tips over, but Guerrero saves himself from injury by landing on his feet like a goddamn Mexican-American cat. As security pulls the idiot (who, for some reason, I’m assuming is also a huge Insane Clown Posse fan) from the ring, Guerrero gives him a hard punch to the head and a kick to the side. Take that, eh!

Do Not Fuck With The Ref!

Refs are a part of the show. Save for that final three count, they don’t really need to be there. I mean, it’s not like these guys went to wrestling ref school to do the job. Like the other people in the ring, the refs are actors; a lot of times, they’re actually wrestlers themselves. After all, they have to take hits just like everyone else. So it should come as no surprise that a ref would be able to take down a fan who stupidly decided to jump into the ring. During an episode of WCW Nitro in December 1997, two fans decide to do just that while Diamond Dallas Page is cutting a promo. The ring announcer quickly pulls one of the guys out, but the other guy is treated to a nice eye gouge and a face rake from the ref who, in my opinion, more than deserves a title shot after this performance.
