The concert takes place September 26 in New York.
Pearl Jam, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay will perform the 2015 Global Citizen Festival, September 26 at New York's Central Park. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin curated the festival, after he agreed to partner with the anti-poverty organization for this year's campaign.
"I did feel like a 12-year-old boy asking her: 'I know you're really busy,'" Martin says to The New York Times of asking Beyonce to perform. "She is this powerful presence and person. She can make any bill look good."
Global Citizen Festival was founded in 2012, to make citizens aware extreme poverty worldwide and with hopes of eradicating it by 2030. Tickets are free, though reserved for those who volunteer to help raise awareness on behalf of the organization.
