Is Beyoncé heading back to the acting world?

The Daily Star is reporting that Marvel is seeking out Bey for a role in the next installment of the Avengers. “We would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel’s existing catalog of comic book characters,” an anonymous Disney senior executive told The Daily Star.

Bey has shown off her acting chops before, proving herself as Deena Jones in 2006 hit Dreamgirls—and earning herself a Golden Globe nomination for it. Beyoncé also played the leading lady in 2002's Austin Powers in Goldmember as Foxxy Cleopatra, in addition to appearing as Etta James in 2008's Cadillac Records and Xania in The Pink Panther (2006).

Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War—Part 1 is scheduled for a May 4, 2018 release. Part 2 will open on May 3, 2019.
