"...I will be really interested to see the audience reaction. I hope it’s not, 'F*ck yes, thank f*ck he’s dead.'”

SPOILERS. WHY ARE YOU IN HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ SPOILERS?

Game of Thrones aired its season 5 finale last night and people are still reeling. Many, many, many major events took place, but the big event that left viewers gutted? The murder of Jon Snow. The men of the Night's Watch turned against their Lord Commander, with the turncoats lining up one by one to plunge a dagger into Snow—and the finishing blow to come from young steward Olly, whose parents were killed by the Wildlings.

But since Snow's death in the George R.R. Martin books and on the show, fans have been speculating with all sorts of wild theories on his possible return. Entertainment Weekly has published an interview with actor Kit Harington, who assures that he's "not coming back."

"This is my understanding of it. I had a sit-down with Dan and David, we did the Tony Soprano walk [letting an actor know they’re being whacked]. And they said, 'Look, you’re gone, it’s done' ... Quite honestly, I have never been told the future of things in this show, but this is the one time I have. They sat me down and said, 'This is how it is.' If anything in the future isnot like that, then I don’t know about it—it’s only in David and Dan and George’s heads. But I’ve been told I’m dead. I’m dead. I’m not coming back next season. So that’s all I can tell you, really."
