Former manager Nick Shymansky is featured in the first clip released from the Amy Winehouse documentary titled Amy. 

The brief footage has Shymansky detailing a story from the very beginning of Winehouse's career. Shymansky recalls asking Winehouse if she'd ever consider writing her own songs—he also adds in his own interesting observation that he made after hearing her response.

The clip closes out with a quick glimpse of some handwritten sheets of lyrics. 

On April 27, the family of Winehouse released a statement on the documentary, calling it "misleading" and that "there are specific allegations made against family and management that are unfounded and unbalanced."
