With 26 seasons and 573 episodes under its belt, The Simpsons have officially announced that they'll be around for—at least—a couple more seasons: Season 27 and Season 28 have officially been greenlighted. 

The animated television show already boasts the honor of being the longest-running scripted series of all time, but by the time Season 28 wraps, the show will have 625 episodes to its name. That's just 10 episodes shy of Gunsmoke's record of 635 episodes in 20 seasons.

Fox has also announced plans to bring Bob's Burgers back for a sixth season and 22 more episodes in 2015-2016.
