Will this sequel break more box office records?

Hey, parents. Try to contain your excitement. And maybe tears.

During a shareholder meeting this morning, Walt Disney Animation finally and officially confirmed Frozen 2 will actually be happening. The feature-length sequel will still be helmed by original creators Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee.

Josh Gad has also been confirmed to be returning as the voice of Olaf the charming magical snowman. John Lasseter, chief creative officer at Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios and DisneyToon Studios, made the announcement along with Disney CEO Bob Iger.

Kirsten Bell, who voiced Anna, posted her own reaction to the news on Twitter:

This news comes on the heels of Disney short film Frozen Fever which will start showing tomorrow, March 13, in theaters before all screenings of the live-action Cinderella film.

Frozen earned $1.219 billion at the box office worldwide, with over $400 million in the U.S. alone.
