Stay out of my territory.
On this week's Better Call Saul Insider podcast (which is a really entertaining, in-depth podcast for any fans of the series, by the way), show creator Vince Gilligan kicked things off with a plea to his fans: Stop throwing pizzas on the roof of Walter White's Albuquerque, New Mexico house, please. It's been done. And it's annoying. And, you know, real people actually live there.
It starts at 3:15 into the episode:
The house, which has become a tourist attraction apparently, frequently attracts a flying pizza or two or three.
"Lately, we're hearing from the owner that folks are wandering on to her property and are being rude to her when she comes out and basically says 'You're on my property,'" says Gilligan. "They are throwing pizzas on roofs and stuff like that. Let me tell you, there is nothing original or funny or cool about throwing a pizza on this lady's roof. It is just not funny. It's been done before. You are not the first."
The whole thing, of course, is influenced by an episode of Breaking Bad where a frustrated White quite expertly tosses a whole pizza onto the roof of his own home after being rejected by his (very understandably) angry wife, Skyler.
