... But under another band name.

Taylor Swift has been open about streaming and Spotify. However, over the weekend, her song, "I Knew You Were Trouble," mysteriously appeared on Spotify. But it was linked to late '90s Welsh rock band Lostprophets' profile.

The Guardian reported, as of December 7, the stream was played 39,681,189 times. While it took them three days, Spotify immediately took it down once the company was made aware of it.

"The track in question was delivered to us by a provider," a spokesperson from Spotify told The Guardian, "whose responsibility it is to ensure that content delivered to Spotify is fully licensed and in compliance with our Infringement Policy. We take the integrity of our catalogue very seriously, and will immediately remove any content that is found to be incorrectly licensed or attributed to the incorrect artist or composer."

She added, "The track was taken down as soon as it was discovered (3 days after it was delivered), and we will be taking the matter further with the provider who delivered this track."

While her reign on Spotify was short-lived, a few people like Elena Cresci, got a chance to play it. See her thoughts on Twitter below.
