Lil Wayne's relationship with Birdman isn't getting any better, it seems.
Birdman owes money to Lil Wayne's Young Money signees, according to new court documents. TMZ reports that Drake and Tyga's camps submitted letters saying they got "stiffed out of a fortune." Meanwhile, a letter from Nicki's camp claims that her producers still need to be paid by Young Money's parent label Cash Money, which Birdman runs.
Weezy also says that Cash Money still owes Young Money a portion of Universal's $100 million advance. But Cash Money denies this, saying that Lil Wayne received a $20 million advance in 2012, to start.
Nicki has said that she hopes that Cash Money and Young Money can settle their differences, though her fellow Young Money signees aren't as optimistic. Tyga released 2015's The Gold Album independently after several delays, while Cash Money reportedly allowed Drake's mixtape If You're Reading This It's Too Late to count toward his album quotas because of his impatience with the label.
