Blame the inclement weather that has been plaguing the city all week.

Afropunk has canceled its inaugural Atlanta festival, October 3-4. The reason why is inclement weather; Atlanta has seen rain throughout this week and will continue to do so over the weekend.

"Over the course of the past 10 years of AFROPUNK's existence, there has never been a serious injury on site and we plan to keep it that way with this tough decision to cancel the fest," says Matthew Morgan, festival co-founder.

RCA had just announced that headliner D'Angelo backed out of Afropunk's Atlanta festival due to "doctor's orders," though the label didn't say why. The stacked line-up had also included Flying Lotus, Public Enemy, Suicidal Tendencies, Santigold and Tyler, the Creator.

All 10,000-plus ticketholders will be refunded automatically at point of purchase. Find out more at Afropunk's official website.
