Art Bergmann's long musical career started in 1977 with the Schmorgs in Vancouver, Canada.
The K-Tels followed, and, after changing names to the Young Canadians, the band released two EPs, Hawaii and This Is My Life. In the mid-'80s, he appeared with Los Popularos and Poisoned. Bergmann signed with Duke Street in 1988 for a solo career; the debut album, Crawl with Me, included his backup band the Showdogs: Susann Richter, Taylor Nelson Little and Ray Fulber. Sexual Roulette was released in 1989 and a self-titled third album appeared in 1991. ~ John Bush
