Her originality and intellect on the mic was present early on when she began writing her own rhymes at the age of 12. As an unsigned lesbian MC, she stays true to her sexuality while still using her talents to entertain her fans and move the crowd with a presence that keeps them coming back for more. When asked why the need to project her sexuality in her music, AquariZ had this to say; "I'm proud to be a lesbian MC because it’s part of who I am. I will never allow anyone to tell me I can't speak up on something, especially if it's a part of my life." AquariZ was voted "OutHipHop's Best New Artist of 2009". She has also been featured in many online magazines, such as, LezNation, LesbianHipHop, Toxin, NME, and The Femme. Crediting her love of hip hop to such greats as Big Pun and Tupac, AquariZ likes to consider herself as a lover of old school Hip Hop with a new school approach. These musical influences allow her to spit as hard and perform as strong as many mainstream MCs of today.

The Club 645 is a popular venue that’s been known to display the talents of AquariZ. She is always a favorite at house parties and being a female, doesn't hinder the fact that she's ill on the mic. Her signature name with the Capital A down to the capital Z always commands respect from start to finish.
