I'm Riding to End AIDS from May 31 - June 6 2015, in AIDS/LifeCycle.
It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.

I am a partially disabled Army Veteran and I am joining this army to fight an on going war against AIDS. This campaign has been going on far too long and it's time for me to step up an join the fight. And if there is one thing I know about, it is war and fighting. I have served my country fighting for freedom and keeping her free. Now I will serve my community and fight for a cure. Now that I have your attention, let me tell you the real reason that I joined this great organization.

I have a son who is HIV+. He is my heart and soul. We have been fighting and living with this for over 14 years now but is not over until there is a cure. He has always had my love and support from the moment we found out. Now I am doing this ride for him, my fellow Veterans and all those who live with this decease. It will be my birthday gift to him. But I cannot do this alone. I need the help of my unit(YOU). This is a battle that some of you may know personally and for some of you, you might not know. But there could be a family member who needs your support and they just never could tell you. Or a friend that you have known for a long time. And it may be a veteran you know.

Calling all Veterans. Your brother in arms needs your help. We have solders, jar-heads, fly-boys, squids, national guard, reservist, male and female who are living with this disease as well. Get up and do your duty for them.

Help me support AIDS/LifeCycle by giving what you can. I will and they will, keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past. www.tofighthive.org/goto/ajsplace1

So now that you know what I am doing now, here is a little about me.

I am a retired Army Colonel. I am open about who I am and what I want in life. I don't play games and I don't like drama. I enjoy biking and the outdoors. When not cycling I volunteer at the Senior Village Center Cyber room, spend time at the beach, walking with my service animal and just relaxing at home. I love to grill and cook for my friends and share what's going on around us. I like talk with teenagers who are trying find out what they want to do in life. Most want to go to college and or the military. I don't push the military but I do share what it has to offer outside of being in combat. I spend time with fellow veterans and sharing my poetry with others. I love sing and put puzzles together. So that's a little about me, any other questions are welcome.
