In the current line-up – Steffi: Voice with the Bass guitar, Mücke as guitarrero and Schmied on the barrels – Antigen have existed since the year 2002.
So, what do these three do? AntiGen is German-speaking Punkrock – a good mixture of fast, noisy rhythms and refreshing melodies. They trap the pogo-folks with the necessary pressure from the darkest corner. The synthesis of brusque guitar sounds and lively female singing brings the unmistakable sound of AntiGen. The lyrics are political and provocative, but rather they want to ask questions, instead of slogging slogans even more. Other lyrics are totally simple, taken from life, and telling of individual thoughts and feelings.
Antigen released the first album "Fluch der Väter" in 2006 with the newcomer-label “Skulls in Heaven”. The second one ("Ware Leben") was released in 2011.
Now they are working on the third album "Poesie und Dreck". Planned release date is 2014.
