With their 1997 debut full-length The Dandy, three-piece Anne Summers, consisting of bassist Alec Boyagy, guitarist Andrew Poitano, and drummer Paul Swegle -- with eventual replacement Brad Samuels playing on some of the songs -- showcased their upbeat power pop that looked up to Elvis Costello and the Jam.
The trio eventually signed to Beatville Records, where they released Very Classy in 2000. ~ Mike DaRonco
