Actress and singer Anne Kerry Ford has earned a good measure of critical acclaim since graduating from the Julliard School of Drama.
Upon leaving Julliard, she paid her dues in theatres across the country before landing her first lead role in a Broadway show in 1982, starring in the musical Annie. During the ‘80s, Ford would also appear in films like Lovesick and Clean And Sober, as well as a role in the daytime soap Days Of Our Lives. Her debut performing cabaret in 1996 was so well received that Ford chose to concentrate on her singing . Her resulting debut release, In The Nest Of The Moon, was a collection of standards produced by her husband, noted guitarist Robben Ford. Together, the pair also started a record label, Illyria Records. In 1997, she debuted a cabaret tribute to the music of Stephen Sondheim and Oscar Hammerstein, which led to her recording Something Wonderful. Again produced by her husband (with co-production from John Boswell, Something Wonderful earned Ford more positive notices. In 2000, she was invited to perform with the West German Radio Orchestra in a tribute to Kurt Weill, a performance that also included Robben and was under the musical direction of Roger Kellaway. ~ Tom Demalon
