Ana Isabelle is a singer, actress, and dancer from Puerto Rico who made her recording debut in 2007.
Born Ana Isabel Acevedo Avilés on April 11, 1986, in Caguas, Puerto Rico, she appeared in the film El Cantante (2007), a biopic about the life of salsa legend Héctor Lavoe starring Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, before releasing her full-length solo album debut, Por el Amor (2007), later in the year. Released on La Calle Records, Por el Amor spawned a series of singles, including "Cuando No Estás," "Quién Dijo Amigos?," and "Dime." Of these singles, "Quién Dijo Amigos?," co-written by Puerto Rican superstar Luis Fonsi, was the most successful, breaking into the Top 50 of the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart, thanks in part to a reggaetón remix featuring Rakim & Ken-Y, the latter of whom was romantically linked to Isabelle for a while. In 2008 Isabelle appeared in the film Talento de Barrio, starring Daddy Yankee. ~ Jason Birchmeier
