In August 1995, Alex Gold founded his own recording company, called Xtravaganza, making its debut with the release of Chicane's "Offshore." However, the label's breakthrough came after signing up with Sony and issuing the chart-topping single "Don't Give Up," featuring Bryan Adams. Xtravaganza was officially launched in the U.S. on March 30, 2001, at New York's Limelight.
