Alejandro is a Mexican singer/songwriter with a sound that can be described as a fusion of Mexican song with alternative rhythms.

His influences include son jarocho and jaliscience, afro-latino percussion, rock, funk, blues, bossa nova and jazz. His lyrics, equally as important as his compositions, range from poetic pros to inspiring political dialogue. He has been performing since 1997 in a variety of different venues, including: BravaTheater (San Francisco, CA); La Peña Cultural Center (Berkeley, CA); Rhyme +Image Latin-Canadian Festival (Toronto, CANADA, 2008); International CulturalFestival of Cuernavaca (Cuernavaca, MEXICO, 2004, 2006); Cultural Festival of Zacatecas (Zacatecas, MEXICO, 2005); Benito Juárez Theater (Mexico City,MEXICO, 2006). Additionally, in October of 2007, Alejandro presented his band, Alejandro Chavez and L@s prófug@s del casero at the venue, El Vicio (MexicoCity, MEXICO).
