Originally from Columbus, OH, Chris Lee started tinkering on a piano as a child, started really pursuing music seriously when he discovered the drumset at age 11, and became interested in audio engineering in 2008 while recording his first album as Alchemeleon, "Cordyceps".
The album was a year-long effort that brought together a number of Chris' very talented friends in Columbus .

When new musical prospects opened themselves up in Athens, OH he moved there and quickly became a ubiquitous musical entity in the college town, playing multiple times a weekend in as many as 5 different bands at a time, sometimes packing up his kit from one bar only to unload into another just in time to start another set. His primary bands at the time were Tribe of the Mountain, Zapaño, the Fayble Family Band, The Corbin Marsh Band, & Lazer Babez.

Eventually, Chris acquired enough recording experience and equipment (often loaned from friends who entrusted him with it) that he opened his own recording studio in the basement of his house. The Danger Room provided the Athens musical community with a cheap alternative to the other studios in town, and Chris found himself recording material for not just his own bands (which at this point included Melk, Fat Elvis, Elton Johnny, & Vodou) but also a few local acts (M>O>P, Frankie Teardrop, & JJ Reed).

Feeling that he had achieved all he could in Athens, Chris then moved to Chicago where he currently resides.
