J. Silva a.k.a Alaska Redd started his music career with 50 Belo Records a local record label in 1994. After their relocation to California, Redd has relentlessly chased his dream of putting Alaska on the map. Labeled the pioneer of the Interior of Alaska's Hip Hop scene. Alaska Redd continually pushes to bring Alaska Hip Hop to the light. With four full length releases under his belt, over nine Mix Tape releases, and numerous features and collaborations to date reaching back to 2001 with "Orgnizdrkus"(Orgin-izd-rukus), then in 2002 "Clearer than Black and White". The third release from Alaska Redd was I.M.W (Interiors Most Wanted) in 2004. The latest project from Alaska Redd."Trapped In The Land of The Frozen"(2010).Is definitely the most powerfull release yet. Featuring collaboration tracks with E-40, Devin The Dude, Dru-Down, Yukmouth,Tech N9NE, Krizz Kalico,& Kutt Kalhoun Cool Nutz & more. For ever growing in his craft and continuing to push the envelope with his musical endeavors.
